How an engagement works
It starts with a free audit of the data you already have. If what it finds is worth acting on, the engagement runs on one price: $10k a month, with a three-month minimum.
The free audit
What you give me: read-only access to your store, your ad accounts and your email platform. You approve it from inside your own accounts, and you can withdraw it at any time without asking me first.
What I look at: order values, dates, channels and products. The audit doesn't need customer names, email addresses or shipping addresses, so those are excluded at the query rather than deleted afterward.
What you get: your numbers reconciled across platforms, and what they say about where the budget is going and what it returns. If they say nothing is wrong, you'll hear that too.
What happens to the data: it's deleted within 30 days unless we decide to work together.
The first quarter: fix the list, build the measurement
I run the growth: the plan, the budget across channels, direction for your agencies and freelancers, and the testing roadmap. At the same time I build the measurement underneath it, in your own accounts, so the numbers behind each decision can be checked rather than taken on trust.
The first fixes usually come from the audit itself. Some questions, like how much a channel adds that you wouldn't have gotten anyway, need more than a quarter of data. That work starts in the first quarter and pays off after it.
After that: the decisions that recur
Budget reallocation, offer and pricing tests, lifecycle changes, and a lift test each quarter to check that what the platforms report is what actually happened. The engagement continues month to month.
The terms
$10k a month, three-month minimum, then month to month. The audit is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
Built in your accounts, on standard tools. When we're done, you can keep it, hand it to your team, or move to a vendor. I'll tell you which I'd choose and why.
Independent. I don't take agency fees, media commission or referral fees, so nothing I recommend pays me twice.
Common questions
Is Hallsbrook an agency?
No. It's one person: me. I run the growth function and build the measurement. Your agencies or freelancers keep doing the channel work, and I direct it.
What if we don't have agencies or freelancers?
Then part of the first quarter is deciding what to hire and who. I can recommend people whose work I've seen, and I don't take referral fees from them.
Who is this for?
Consumer brands doing roughly $5-50MM in revenue, selling direct on Shopify or similar, spending real money on paid media and without a full growth team, or with one that can't yet say what's working.
Do you need access to customer data?
Not for the audit. It uses order values, dates, channels and products, with names, emails and addresses excluded. An engagement may use hashed customer identifiers for lifecycle work, and that's agreed in writing first.
How many clients do you take on?
No more than four at a time, so each one gets real attention.
What happens when the engagement ends?
Everything I built stays in your accounts. You can keep running it, hand it to your team, or replace it with a vendor tool, and I'll give you a straight recommendation.
